    Description

These mid 1970s banjos coming out of Japan copied and competed with the Gibson RB-250 banjos.
They were produced by Kasuga with many different names and sell for varying prices depending on the name even though they were near identical in parts and construction.
This banjo can be found branded Alvarez, but because it is branded "Crestwood Deluxe" it can be bought for 0-0 less than its twin Alvarez branded banjo.
This Crestwood Deluxe banjo has the heavier flathead 20 hole tone ring, a new head, freshly leveled, dressed and polished frets set up to standard playing specs.
    The truss rod turns/works properly.
There are a few scratches and nicks, a 5th string railroad spike capo is broken off, the finish on the resonator is slightly cloudy in one area (lower left, photo 4). Photos should tell all.
The case is a newish Gator hard shell case.
Ships by UPS/FEDEX--large boxes are increasingly expensive to ship. The cost you see is actual retail shipping cost.
